Chelsea have confirmed the departure of forward Joao Felix, who has joined Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.

Felix links up with international team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo in a deal worth a possible £43.7m – made up of an initial £26.2m fee plus £17.5m in potential add-ons.

The 25-year-old rejoined Chelsea on a permanent deal last summer, having also spent time on loan at the Blues in 2023.

He joined AC Milan on loan in January, however, having fallen out of favour under boss Enzo Maresca.

He made 20 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season, netting seven goals.

Felix’s departure is likely to allow Chelsea to ramp up their efforts to bring in RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons.

The Blues are in talks over signing the 22-year-old, who scored ten goals in 25 Bundesliga games last season.

They are also hoping to conclude a deal to sign Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.

More players are likely to depart Chelsea this summer too, however. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku are among those who could possibly exit the club.
