Chelsea confirm ACL tear for Mia Fishel

Chelsea have confirmed that Mia Fishel has torn her ACL, suffering the injury while on international duty with the United States Women’s National Team.

This will come as a big blow to Chelsea, who have already lost the services of Sam Kerr to an ACL tear of her own.

Chelsea Football Club can confirm Mia Fishel has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury while on duty with the US Women's National Team.

“Mia will be assessed by a specialist in the coming days and will then begin her rehabilitation with the club’s medical team at Cobham,” Chelsea said in an official statement.

The Blues currently sit top of the Women’s Super League on goal difference after 14 games played.
