Chelsea chiefs are ready to back manager Thomas Tuchel in the summer market after their Club World Cup triumph.
Chelsea were impressed by Tuchel's reluctance to push for 'unnecessary' January signings, and will respond by backing him when it comes to new targets, says the Telegraph.
One of those signings could see long-term target, Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, move to Stamford Bridge, after Tuchel's side looked into acquiring the Frenchman last summer.
Elsewhere, the Blues could renew their interest in West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, who spent time in their academy before moving to east London as a teenager.
Meanwhile Aurelien Tchouameni of Monaco is another midfield option, but Chelsea are not expected to make Saul Niguez's loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent with the Spaniard struggling to hold down a first-team spot.
