Chelsea captain Reece James has been given a one-match ban after being hit with an FA charge following the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in September.
The 23-year was alleged to have used improper, insulting and abusive words and behaviour towards a match official in the tunnel after the final whistle, a charge in which the defender admitted.
A statement from the Football Association has confirmed the ban which will be effective immediately, meaning James will miss the trip to Burnley on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino has had to be without the England international since the opening day of the season after he picked up a hamstring injury.
James has been back in contention for selection after returning to training in the past week.
