Chelsea buoyed as Bayern Munich rule out signing Man Utd star Ronaldo
Tribal Football
Bayern Munich chief Oliver Kahn has ruled out signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 37-year-old striker reportedly wants out of Manchester United after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Bayern, Chelsea and Napoli have been touted as possible destinations.
But Kahn has ruled Bayern out of the race.
"As highly as I rate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest, a transfer wouldn't be a fit with our philosophy," he told German magazine Kicker.
Ronaldo has a year remaining on his contract and United want him to see it out.
However, the Red Devils would prefer to sell Ronaldo to a foreign club rather than league rivals Chelsea.
