Quizzed about eventually moving to Serie A, Tuchel admits it is a career ambition.

Quoted by Le 10 Sport, he said, "Train in Italy?

"I have a connection with your country, I always remember the great Italian teams since I was a child, many Italians live in Germany and I often spend my holidays there."

Tuchel has worked in Germany with Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, in France with Paris Saint German and now in England as Chelsea manager.

The Champions League winner added: "It would be a pleasure to come and train in Serie A and feel the atmosphere you feel for this sport."

Tuchel was also asked about his stated admiration for Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

There's been claims Tuchel models his own coaching on Gasperini, whose Atalanta team are currently in the same Champions League group as Manchester United this season.

Tuchel admits he appreciates the teams Gasperini has managed over the years and also revealed he gets along with the veteran coach.

He also said: "I didn't say that, but when we played against them it was clear there was something special.

"Maybe some aspect of his belief goes against our cornerstones, but he has been very successful, and so he deserves only compliments for what he is doing.

"In addition to this, he is a beautiful person, very humble. I have great respect for Italian coaches and clubs."
