Barcelona want to sign the former and are trying to agree a new contract with the latter, but Jones is still backing the Blues to land at least one of the two.

What is the latest news involving Raphinha?

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea and Todd Boehly are concentrating on deals for Raphinha and Raheem Sterling. This comes after the west London club agreed a £55m fee with Leeds United to sign the Brazilian.

However, it is believed that Raphinha is holding out for a move to Barcelona, who are also interested in signing him.

As for Dembele, he is currently a free agent after his contract at the Camp Nou expired, though club president Joan Laporta has confirmed that there is a new offer on the table.

“If he accepts the conditions that we have presented, he will continue, if not, then no,” Laporta recently told Mundo Deportivo (via 90min).

What has Jones said about Raphinha, Dembele and Chelsea?

Jones expects Chelsea to sign either Raphinha or Dembele before the transfer window closes.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “Barcelona will believe that they can have both because Barcelona believe they could have anyone and everyone, so fair play to them.

“I’m not ruling out both of these guys still for Chelsea. It’s difficult for me not to see one of Raphinha or Dembele landing at Chelsea.”

Who are Chelsea more likely to end up with?

All things considered, Dembele, who is said to be on Thomas Tuchel’s list of attacking targets, looks like the much easier transfer to do.

The Frenchman is out of contract, so Chelsea do not have to negotiate with a club to sign him, while there is obviously that connection with Tuchel, who is clearly a fan of his former player.

Do you know this obscure player Chelsea signed in the January transfer window?

Josh McEachran Marco van Ginkel Franco Di Santo Gaël Kakuta

Speaking about Dembele earlier this year amid speculation linking the 25-year-old with a move to Stamford Bridge, the German said (via EUROSPORT): “He’s a very good player, and I am very fortunate to have trained him in my time at Dortmund.

“It was only one year, it should have been longer, but I needed to leave and he decided to leave.”

There is no guarantee that Chelsea go on to sign Dembele this summer, but with Raphinha’s heart set on joining Barcelona, the France international looks the more attainable player out of the attacking duo, who have scored 110 goals combined in their senior careers.
