Chelsea believe one of their potential new signings this summer “can develop into a really, really important player” in the latest report.
Chelsea are trying to get some big deals all tied up now as they look to push on and have a good end to the summer transfer window we are seeing out at the end of this month.
The Blues want to try and sign Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho from RB Leipzig and Manchester United respectively. To do this, they need player sales, two of whom will hopefully be Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.
There is confidence that Chelsea and Leipzig can agree a fee that will see Christopher Nkunku return to his former club. It wont be part of the Simons deal directly, but will obviously help it a lot and will be an unofficial swap deal by the looks of it.
And just earlier this week we were told to ‘keep an eye’ on Jackson’s situation as clubs line up to sign him – we expect to see him sold before the end of this month as well as Nkunku.

The plan then will be to try and sign Garnacho and Simons from their clubs.
Fabrizio Romano has been reporting on Garnacho to Chelsea A LOT, and he’s said this on his Podcast this week:
“From what I’m hearing, Chelsea believe that Garnacho has, first of all he has a lot of potential, can develop into a really, really important player.
“Garnacho turned 21 in July this year. He’s still very young. So Chelsea see a value in him. Now we will see what’s going to be the fee, if it’s £30m, £35m, £40m.”
Romano continued:
“They [Chelsea] believe that this is a player probably worth a completely different amount of money.
“So Chelsea believe that this is a big, big opportunity on the market. They really like the player. They like his potential, and they are convinced in a different environment after difficult months at Manchester United, he can really turn into an important player, a key player for Enzo Maresca.”
