Chelsea asking €13m for defenders as Spanish sides circle | OneFootball

Barcelona have already signed Andreas Christensen from Chelsea, but they’re not stopping there.

The Catalan giants have their eyes on two further signings from Stamford Bridge – Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.

According to Sport today, Chelsea have named their price for their defenders – €13m each.

We’re not sure how they reached that figure – given that Azpilicueta is significantly older and also has just one year to run on his contract – but €13m seems a reasonable price for Alonso, who despite his bad moments is still a Spanish international full back with plenty of quality.

The piece says Chelsea are open to negotiation, and we wonder whether they would accept a package deal for both at a reduced price.

As always with these transfers involving Barcelona though, there are so many question marks about their finances that it’s hard to know what to take seriously and what to consider totally impossible for the moment.
