Furthermore, with Xabi Alonso coming in as manager, there is a talk of a change in formation and tactics which might leave Rodrygo without a place in the team.

As such, rumours of a summer departure have been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

Chelsea, Arsenal want Rodrygo

Now, according to AS, Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Rodrygo Goes’ situation at Real Madrid as the forward could be on the move this summer.

Even though Rodrygo’s form and standing within the team took a slight dip this season, his reputation remains strong, particularly in England.

Arsenal have been one of the first clubs to express an interest in the Brazilian and have already made informal contacts with the player’s camp.

Chelsea are also watching Rodrygo closely as he is highly rated at Stamford Bridge. The Blues see him as a potential crown jewel of their next project, especially given the recent misfires with their signings like Mykhailo Mudryk, Christopher Nkunku, and Jadon Sancho.

€100 million for Rodrygo

While there has been no formal communication from Real Madrid, nor a transfer request from Rodrygo, the Premier League giants are already watching developments closely.

Rodrygo’s case is expected to be addressed sooner rather than later at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is no secret that his name is considered among those who could be sold, thanks to his high market value, which could potentially help fund a marquee signing.

In fact, as per the report, the asking price for the Brazilian international is expected to be around €100 million.

The final decision will rest with Xabi Alonso and the player himself, who is waiting for a dialogue with the new manager.
