After playing with local clubs, Agustin Giay joined San Lorenzo Academy to develop his game further. He worked hard to climb up the ladders and break into their senior team for the first time in April 2022. Since then, he has been a regular name on the team sheet.

Giay is one of the most exciting talents in his homeland. He mainly plays in the midfield but is well-equipped to perform the right-back role. He likes to dribble and can play some decisive passes from midfield. The youngster is also solid with his defensive techniques.
The Argentine has featured in 20 games this season and managed to provide two assists. He is still in the early stages of his career. However, he has the potential to make it big in European football if he gets the right coaching and game time.
Chelsea’s alleged interest in Agustin Giay is understandable as Reece James‘ injury woes are concerning. Though Malo Gusto has done well in his debut season, it would be smart to bring in a new right-back to secure the position well.
The arrival of Giay could be a good move as he can play the backup role. It will also allow him to nourish his game further and emerge as a reliable name. If everything works well, the Blues will possess a quality player with many years at the top level.
