Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital came in the recruitment policy has completely changed with the Blues now focused on signing the best young talent from around the world.

Chelsea not planning to change management structure

A lot of criticism has been aimed at Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart Chelsea’s sporting directors for the way the squad has been assembled, with fans wanting the pair out of the club.

However, reports have indicated they retain the full trust of the Chelsea hierarchy and it’s believed they are already planning for the summer window.

Chelsea have recently been linked with a move to appoint to Paris Saint Germain’s Luis Campos to a Head of Football role, but Romano has now provided an update on the situation.

He took to X.com and said:

“Chelsea are not planning to change their management structure, happy with current directors and planning with them.

“No negotiations taking place with other directors. “I want to extend Luis Campos’ contract”, Al Khelaifi said about Campos’ future despite Chelsea links.”

Much to the disappointment of the fans it appears the structure and recruitment model won’t be changing any time soon, but this summer coming is absolutely crucial for the club.

The Blues need to sign a striker, centre back and left winger, whilst a new goalkeeper could be a possibility as well.
