Chelsea are prepared to let Nicolas Jackson join Bayern Munich if the move is permanent according to Ben Jacobs.

Jackson was set to sign for Bayern on loan with an option to buy, but Chelsea revoked permission to undergo a medical and complete the deal.

The Blues have ordered Jackson to return to London after Liam Delap picked up a hamstring injury in the win against Fulham, which could rule him out for eight weeks.

Chelsea prepared to let Nicolas Jackson join Bayern on permanent deal

Jackson is understood to be unhappy about the whole situation, and he’s still in Munich with his agent as they try to resurrect the deal.

The face that nothing was signed with Bayern means Jackson doesn’t have a leg to stand on as he’s contracted to Chelsea, and really has no other option than to return.

Jackson landed in Munich on Saturday but has been ordered to return to London.

It’s possible a resolution could be found, but it’s likely the only way that happens is a permanent transfer, and Jacobs has provided an update.

He took to X.com and said:

“Chelsea are prepared to let Nicolas Jackson move to Bayern if the move is a permanent one.”

Currently the deal involves an option to buy for around £56m, and the total deal could be worth £69m with the loan fee included.

Chelsea make enquiries for Conrad Harder

Incase a permanent offer does come in for Jackson at this late stage, the Blues are exploring moves for other strikers.

It’s believed Chelsea have made enquiries for Sporting Lisbon striker Conrad Harder, who is thought to be close to joining RB Leipzig.

The 20-year-old scored five goals in 28 league appearances last season, and was back-up to Viktor Gyokeres who’s now joined Arsenal.

Harder clearly fits the Chelsea recruitment model, but he’s still very raw, and has a lot of developing to do, whilst it’s unclear if he’s ready for such a big step-up.
