Chelsea announce deal for Malo Gusto | OneFootball

Chelsea this morning have announced 19 year old right back Malo Gusto as a new Chelsea player.

Gusto will spend the rest of the season back out on loan at Lyon before joining Graham Potter’s team ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Several pictures were taken and released online by Chelsea of Gusto in this season’s Chelsea kit, it’s thought that the club could not risk the chance of waiting until the summer for more clubs to come in and compete for his signature.

It is good to see active, long term planning from Chelsea instead of being reactive in the market and settling for plan C and D options.

Chelsea are still in the market for a midfielder before the deadline hits on Tuesday evening and it remains to be seen if a deal can be struck with Brighton for Moises Caicedo, who has been asked to stay away from club training and will miss Brighton’s fixture against Liverpool today.
