Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson, reports the Sun.
The 18-year-old has impressed for the Seagulls this term and caught the attention of the London clubs.
Blues manager Graham Potter handed Ferguson his debut at Brighton last January and is keen on a reunion.
The Republic of Ireland international only made two appearances last term, both from the bench.
Ferguson has scored four goals and claimed three assists in 11 appearances this season.
The teenager became Brighton’s and Ireland’s youngest scorer in the Premier League when he netted in the 4-2 defeat to Arsenal on New Year’s Eve.
Chelsea have struggled in front of goal despite spending around £600m since Todd Boehly’s Clearlake Capital completed a takeover in May 2022.
They need a striker capable of scoring regularly, and Ferguson could be their man.
He has a bright future ahead of him and could fetch them plenty of millions in the near future.
Spurs are also in need of a young striker and they see the Brighton youngster as a player who could develop into a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane.
The England international striker has been regularly linked with an exit. The 29-year-old is Tottenham’s all-time top scorer but could leave for another Premier League club to finally win his first piece of silverware.
Ferguson would find it tricky to fill in for such a quality goalscorer. However, he has the potential and talent to become prolific in front of goal.
