Chelsea and Milan disagree over crucial part of Hakim Ziyech deal | OneFootball

Chelsea and AC Milan are negotiating over the future of Hakim Ziyech, and while great progress has been made, they seem to have reached a sticking point at last.

The Blues want to get rid of the winger – they’re happy to allow him to go on loan for a year if that makes things easier for Milan to finance, but the selling club also want the guarantee of a compulsory purchase option.

SempreMilan say that Milan are looking for an optional clause, which they can activate if they feel that the winger has performed. There’s the suggestion that there would be concrete objectives in terms of goals and assists that he could achieve to automatically transform it into a permanent deal.

We’re sure they will find common ground eventually, they’ve come this far, but ultimately this is going to be the biggest obstacle, and they will have to get past it to complete the deal.
