Chelsea and Manchester United have reportedly agreed a fee for the transfer of England striker Lauren James.
The fee has not yet been disclosed but according to Sky Sports reporter Anton Toloui, the deal is believed to be a record between two Women’s Super League clubs.
James is understood to have undergone a medical at Chelsea and is now discussing personal terms with the west London club.
James – who is the 19-year-old sister of Chelsea and England men’s defender Reece James – hails from London and began her career with Arsenal before joining United in 2018.
After helping them win promotion to the WSL, she finished the 2020/21 season in the top flight as the club’s top scorer.
