Chelsea are hesitant to turn to another interim manager to replace Frank Lampard.
The Blues hierarchy is deeply unhappy with recent results, which have seen the Blues lose five of the past eight Premier League games.
However, The Independent claims the Blues would rather appoint a permanent successor when they choose to dispose of Lampard.
Such a position may actually give Lampard more time to turn things around, as the coaches Chelsea want may not be willing to move to the club in midseason.
Julian Naglesmann is one of their primary targets, and he is enjoying his time at RB Leipzig.
Thomas Tuchel, recently fired by Paris Saint-Germain, is another option.
