Chelsea have completed the signing of Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen for a fee of £20.7m (€24.5m).
The 22-year-old had a £38m buyout clause but the Blues have secured him for a much lower fee and signed him to a mammoth seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Jörgensen, who has been capped for Denmark at U21 level, leaves Villarreal after making 36 appearances for the LaLiga club, most of which came last season as he broke through and established himself as their first-choice keeper.
With his arrival, Chelsea now have six goalkeepers on their books, notably Đorđe Petrović, Robert Sánchez and Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has returned from a season-long loan at Real Madrid.
It is expected both Kepa and Petrović will now depart.
Jörgensen is the seventh signing of another very busy summer for the west London club, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga and Omari Kellyman all having arrived already.
