Dean Huijsen started his career at Juventus but couldn’t establish himself there. He moved to Bournemouth this summer, which has been fruitful as of now. The youngster has shown promising glimpses in the initial stages and is expected to have a bright future.

Huijsen has already netted two goals in the 14 games he has featured in this season so far. He is averaging 1.1 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, and 3.9 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).
The Dutch defender is an intelligent footballer with all the traits needed. He is solid, marks strong aerial presence, and is comfortable on the ball. He can effective with both feets and has an incredible passing range and accuracy.
Dean Huijsen is a bright prospect who has the potential to mark an era in world football. Hence, Chelsea’s interest in the youngster isn’t surprising as the mentioned name can be a valuable long-term investment for the club.
Huijsen can be a fit replacement for the likes of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile, who hasn’t been enough convincing so far. Moreover, Wesley Fofana’s recurring injuries has added to the woes, keeping the idea of bringing a new defender alive.
The only hindrance for the 19-year-old to joining the Stamford Bridge is the game-time. He must be aware of the current situation at Chelsea and he is unlikely to be named in the starting lineup. Hence, he will eventually has to decide on what to priortize. Interestingly, the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Aston Villa are also linked with the hot property.
