Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is frustrated with his situation at Stamford Bridge, according to journalist Simon Phillips.
The £18m rated star got his fair share of opportunities under Thomas Tuchel last season, but he’s been restricted to just one appearance this term.
Having enjoyed a productive loan spell with Lorient the campaign before last, Chalobah returned to Chelsea ahead of the 2021-2022 season and made his Blues debut and Premier League bow in the space of three days.
He never quite establish himself as a regular in the Blues defence, but he still played 30 games in all competitions, lifting both the Super Cup and Club World Cup, which represented a positive year.
However, the arrivals of Wesley Fofana and Kalidou Koulibaly and the fact Cesar Azpilicueta’s move to Barcelona collapsed, has restricted Chalobah to just one outing this season.
As a result, Tottenham, Roma and Inter Milan were all interested in signing Chalobah ahead of the window closing, although he ended up staying with his boyhood club.

But the 23-year-old’s frustrations have continued of late, with the ex-Huddersfield loanee an unused substitute in every game since the market closed for business.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s definitely frustrated with the situation. Obviously, there were a lot of rumours that Azpilicueta was going to be sold, and it looked highly likely he would be.
“Then, the owners had a chat with him, and Thomas Tuchel had a chat with him, and minds were changed, and he stayed.”
Despite each of his 31 Chelsea appearances coming under Tuchel, the managerial change could end up being a good thing for him.
That’s because even though the Blues have been poor at the start of the season, Chalobah still wasn’t getting any game-time.
Even more bizarre was that Chelsea actually won the one game that he started, and he hasn’t even had a look in since.
But with a new manager in the dugout, and one in Graham Potter who clearly trusts youngsters, every player is on a clean slate, which Chalobah will be hoping he can take advantage of, especially with a cluster of games on the horizon in such a short space of time.
