Charlton Athletic have secured instant promotion to the Championship via the play-offs following a 2-1 win over Sunderland at Wembley.
Things couldn’t have started any better for the Black Cats in the capital, when a comical Mouhamadou-Naby Sarr own goal gifted them the lead after five minutes.
His back pass managed to skip away from goalkeeper Dillon Phillips’ foot and into the back of the net for the opener.
The Addicks levelled 10 minutes before half-time when a nice team move ended with Ben Purrington popping up at the back post to score from close range.
The London club then went on to win it in the final minute of injury time when the ball broke for Patrick Bauer in the box and his effort bundled in off Tom Flanagan.
