Charlton Athletic midfielder Mia Ross has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Ross joined Charlton Athletic in the summer 2021 transfer window after leaving former Barclays Women’s Championship side Liverpool. The player has gone on to make 54 appearances for the South East Londoners in the Barclays Women’s Championship in which she has scored two goals. Ross played an important role in helping Charlton Athletic challenge for promotion last season.

The midfielder made more appearances for Charlton Athletic in 2023/2024 than she did in her previous two seasons and the club have therefore moved to retain her services into a fourth year.

After signing on again at The Valley, Ross said “The progression we’ve made in the league, especially after just falling short last year, is a great project to be a part of.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities and development I’ve had here and looking forward to pushing on again this year.”

Ross becomes the fifth player to sign a contract extension with Charlton Athletic during the close season. Carla Humphrey, Karin Muya, Kiera Skeels and Beth Roe have also committed their immediate futures to the club.
