Club Universidad de Chile’s 19 year-old Chilean left-back Marcelo Morales has been linked with a move to Belgium. According to Voetbalkrant and Voetbalniewus, the Walloon based club are interested in bringing the teenager to Belgium in January. Reports suggest that the asking price could be over 1.5 million Euros.
Morales has made 20 appearances for Universidad this season, providing one assist. He has been capped at Under 20 level but is yet to feature for the full national team. Universidad currently sit 13th in the Chilean Primera Division.
Currently, the Zebras are without a manager following the sacking of Ed Still. His brother, Will, has already ruled himself out of the job, as well as at the vacancy with Eupen. Ed Still was sacked following a 4-1 defeat away at Cercle Brugge on Friday night. Following the defeat, Charleroi are in 13th position, just five points above the relegation zone.
