CHAN 2023/CAF

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the list of 70 officials who will oversee the smooth running of matches at the 2024 African Nations Championship.

The roster features 26 central referees, 26 assistant referees, and 18 video assistant referees (VAR), representing 30 different countries, all called upon by Africa’s football governing body to ensure the highest standards of officiating at this major event.

CAF has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity by calling up, among others, central referees Bouchra Karboubi (Morocco) and Shamirah Nabadda (Uganda), as well as assistant referees Diana Chikotesha (Zambia) and Atezambong Fomo Carine (Cameroon).

CHAN 2024 will take place from August 2 to 30, 2025, and will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
