Before this 2024 edition, Nigeria had participated three times in the African Nations Championship (CHAN). The "Super Eagles" will take on Senegal, Congo, and Sudan.
Nigeria has won two medals in the CHAN. In 2018, they lost 0-4 in the final to Morocco, while in 2014 they clinched third place by narrowly defeating Zimbabwe.
