Jesse Lingard reportedly has intentions to stay at Manchester United beyond this summer, and he staked his claim again by firing the visitors in front after just four minutes.

The 28-year-old midfielder was played through on goal by Facundo Pellestriā€™s neat pass before sliding the ball past Seny Dieng.

United werenā€™t ahead for long though as Charlie Austin headed in Yoann Barbetā€™s cross to equalise two minutes later.

The second half produced a stunning six minute where Solskjaerā€™s side capitulated at the hands of their hosts.

Scottish striker Lyndon Dykes came off the bench to score twice. He reacted first to a a Lee Wallace pull back to score via a deflection off Axel Tuanzebe to put the Rā€™s in front.

Moses Odubajo then produced a stunning drive from 25 yards out after cutting inside on his left foot to shock Lee Grant before Dykes added his second with a fierce effort two minutes later.

There were some positive signs for Solskjaer in the second half as 19-year-old Anthony Elanga pulled one back, placing a shot from just outside the area but it proved to be only a consolation.

Itā€™s a meeting with Premier League new-boys Brentford next up on Wednesday for United.
