The curtain comes down on the 2022/23 campaign in a fortnight, with the Championship play-offs capping off a season of highs and lows.
Burnely have sealed automatic promotion as the league winners courtesy of a 1-0 triumph at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday, securing a top-flight return after a season-long absence.
Second-placed Sheffield United cemented a runner-up finish with a 2-0 home win over West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday, leaving ten teams battling it out for four play-off spots.
The Championship play-offs have been responsible for some of the most remarkable and timeless moments in sports, as the stakes are as high as it gets for the teams that progress into the post-season.
Clubs put in every ounce of effort to clinch the reward, as playing in the Premier League holds immense prestige and the possibility of securing hundreds of millions of pounds.
Ahead of the upcoming play-offs, we provide you with all the essential information you require, such as the fixture dates, the participating teams, and where you can catch the live action on television and via streaming platforms.
With the top two teams automatically qualifying for promotion, the teams ranked from third to sixth participate in the play-offs to secure the final top-flight spot.
The play-offs comprise two semi-finals, each having a home and away leg ahead of a winner-takes-all final.
A pair of semi-finals feature the third-placed side paired against the sixth-placed team, while the fourth-placed side competes against the fifth-placed team.
As we approach the end of the season, a whole bunch of teams are vying for the chance to either make a comeback or debut in the Premier League.
Luton Town and Middlesbrough have already booked their places in the play-offs, moving clear of teams such as Coventry City, Sunderland, Millwall and Blackburn.
Those four teams are not the only ones battling it out for a spot in the top six, with West Brom, Norwich City, Preston North End and Swansea City flirting with a coveted play-off finish.
With two rounds left, only three points separate sixth-placed Sunderland from 12th-placed Swansea, meaning virtually every team in the upper half of the table can still reach the play-offs.
The 2023 Championship play-offs are set to take place after the completion of the regular season on May 8.
Typically, play-off matches begin a week after the regular season ends, implying that the semi-finals will be held during the weekend of May 13/14.
Scheduled for May 27, the Championship play-off final typically kicks off in the afternoon at either 3.00 pm or 4.30 pm (BST), although the official confirmation of the kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.
As one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world, Wembley Stadium remains the designated host venue, as has been the case over the years.
With a seating capacity of 90,000, Wembley has consistently drawn full houses for the Premier League promotion matches, a tradition that is unlikely to change this year.
Sky Sports holds the broadcasting rights to Football League games in the United Kingdom, and the Championship play-offs will go live on Sky Sports Football/Main Event, with online streaming available on Sky GO.
Streaming service ESPN Plus (ESPN+) will air the Championship play-off semi-finals and final in the United States.

Often considered the richest game in world football, the Championship play-off final offers lucrative prize money to the winner.
By virtue of the Premier League’s distribution of TV revenue to its clubs, winning the Championship play-offs is initially valued at approximately £100 million.
