Barça
FC Barcelona now knows its route and opponents in the single-group stage of the 2025-2026 Champions League. The draw, held in Nyon (Switzerland), handed the Catalans eight formidable challengers.
Barça, five-time European champions, will take on Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning European titleholders and fresh Ligue 1 champions. This top-tier clash is sure to revive memories of epic past duels. Another headline fixture awaits against Chelsea, newly crowned Club World Cup winners (in the expanded 32-team format) and recent Conference League champions.
Among their other opponents are Eintracht Frankfurt, surprise third-place finishers in the Bundesliga, and Club Brugge, who reached last year’s round of 16. Barça will also lock horns with Olympiacos, Greek champions; Slavia Prague, titleholders from the Czech Republic; and FC Copenhagen, making a return after their impressive 2023/24 campaign. Rounding out the group is Newcastle United, with the English club aiming to progress past the league phase for the very first time.
FC Barcelona will play four matches at the Camp Nou and four on the road. It's a tough challenge ahead for Hansi Flick’s men.
