With a blend of emotion and pride, Abdou Diallo soaked up PSG's Champions League triumph. Having played for the club from 2019 to 2023, the Senegalese defender, now with Al Arabi, followed Paris' crowning moment as a privileged witness.

"I was in the shoes of a supporter, but a supporter who knows what it represents from the inside, how tough it is, how long-awaited it was. I spent many years at the club, I was born in France, so I know what this title means for PSG, a club I truly love. Honestly, I was as amazed as everyone else." he told RMC Sport.

And while he admitted to imagining what it would have been like to live that moment from within, Diallo harbored no regrets : "It wasn't meant for me, it wasn't my destiny. There's no regret or jealousy, truly. Just a lot of happiness, and real relief that Paris finally got their hands on the Big Ears trophy."
