Midfielder Cesare Casadei is set to undergo his medicals on Thursday ahead of a move from Inter to Chelsea.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported moments ago that the 19-year-old should become a Chelsea player later this week after the two clubs agreed on a deal for a fee of €15 million plus an additional €5 million in add-ons.

Inter and Chelsea have been in advanced talks for a sale of Casadei in the past days, with the Blues having made another big push to sign the young midfielder after having had their initial offers rebuffed at the beginning of the month.

The Nerazzurri are ready to accept the Premier League giants’ bid worth a total of €20 million including add-ons, which meets their asking price for Casadei, despite the absence of a buyback option in the deal as they had initially hoped for.

Now, all that is left is for the formalities of the deal to be done, and with the medicals set for Thursday this should be very soon.
