Chelsea suffer another defeat vs Southampton

Chelsea were unable to find an equaliser when play resumed.

They have still only tasted victory just once in 2023.

They remain in 10th in the Premier League. Their chances of securing Champions League football for next season have gotten even slimmer.

Southampton, meanwhile, remain bottom of the Premier League despite their victory.

Their chances of survival have improved, though. They are now just two points away from safety.

Southampton are next in action when they play Leeds United in a crucial bottom of the table clash on Saturday February 25, while Chelsea travel to Tottenham the following day.
