Celtic’s Birthday wishes – Perfect day to give Brendan what’s needed

Club wishing Brendan a happy birthday. Time to gift him with what he wants and what he needs…

Happy Birthday to our manager Brendan Rodgers who turns 51 today. Here’s hoping the Irishman has a great day.

The club wished him a happy birthday this morning through social media which is, as always a nice touch, that is all good but like a young kid he wants a wad of cash to go with that card! Yes, Brendan’s wish like most of us will be hoping to get the green light to raid the transfer market in the next coming days and pick up a few top quality players. No low end January sale bargains, but top quality names.

It’s what he and the supporters crave and that wish must be fulfilled. Brendan has repeatedly spoke of his need for ‘quality’ in his ranks so he can do his job to the best of his ability. Those in charge have got to listen to his demands, they can’t continue to let it slide.

Brendan knows that he must be successful at Celtic if he gets to fulfil his stated objective of being the manager of Celtic for the long term. On the day he came back to Celtic Park, after his media conferences were over, he stood outside Celtic Park’s front door and promised we’d be back there in May celebrating a title triumph.

We have the financial resources available to enhance our squad, we have the best manager in place to use those resources. Time for those in charge to make not just Brendan’s birthday wishes come true, but to give each and every single one of us Celtic supporters what we want and what Brendan needs to make sure that he delivers on his title winning promise. Is that too much for the manager to ask for on his birthday?
