Celtic are eyeing a move for Nordsjaelland playmaker Benjamin Nygren as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his squad for next season, according to the Scottish Sun.
The Hoops want the 23-year-old Sweden international at Parkhead after his return of 16 goals and four assists in 32 appearances this season.
Nygren is out of contract at Nordsjaelland in six months and could be available for a cut-price £2 million fee, which could hand Celtic a boost in their pursuit.
However, the Hoops will face competition from Anderlecht and FC Copenhagen.
Celtic have scouted him several times, with a move now being mooted after they were satisfied with what they saw.
Nygren plays as a number 10 or on the wings, and Nordsjaelland are expected to sell him after he confirmed he will not be extending his contract beyond the end of this year.
He is starting to gain international prominence after opening his account with Sweden in a friendly 5-1 win against Northern Ireland in March and notching a wonder strike against Hungary last week.
Celtic could do with his creativity in the attacking third, and Nygren has proven himself in front of goal.
He was named in the Danish Superliga Team of the Year following an outstanding 2024-25 campaign.
The opportunity to move to Scotland could be appealing, particularly as Celtic can offer him the chance to play in the Champions League.
