Maeda has been a regular in Hajime Moriyasu’s squad, featuring at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the Celtic forward put in some impressive performances during the tournament, scoring against Croatia in the last 16 tie.

Both Hatate and Kyogo have had to wait for their latest international call-ups after missing out on the last few squads.

The midfielder will be looking to add to his cap for his country next month, having made a solitary appearance in March last year, shortly after he joined Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Meanwhile, Kyogo will be aiming to make his first appearance for Japan since his last call-up in September, and after a terrific season for the Hoops, the forward will be hoping to score his first goal for his country since 2021.

Congratulations to all three players on their well-deserved call-ups to the latest Japan squad.
