Celtic starting XI to face St Mirren on Flag Day | OneFootball

Celtic begin their defence of the Scottish Premiership title at Celtic Park this afternoon with St Mirren the visitors for Flag Day.

Hoops legend, Paul McStay will unfurl the league flag before the match action gets underway at a packed-out Paradise, and the Celts will be looking to start the season by taking all three points.

Kieran Tierney, who returned to the club from Arsenal this summer, starts the match at left back, whilst Alistair Johnston, who helped Canada to the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup during pre-season, gets the nod on the right hand side.

New signing, Benjamin Nygren will join Reo Hatate and Callum McGregor in the heart of the Celtic midfield, whilst Adam Idah leads the line from the start.
