Celtic have yet to offer a contract extension to youth striker Daniel Cummings amid interest from Premier League and English Championship clubs, according to the Daily Mail.

The 18-year-old sensation is out of a deal at the Scottish Premiership club at the end of the season and will be free to agree to a pre-contract with suitors next month.

Brentford, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Ipswich Town, Sunderland and Burnley are all keen on securing his services.

Cummings has bagged 22 goals in 20 games for the Celtic youth team this season,

However, while the Hoops handed Francis Turley and Colby Donovan new deals after losing Rocca Vata to Watford and Daniel Kelly to Millwall last summer, they have yet to hand the youngster a new deal.

Manager Brendan Rodgers wants a younger third striker to provide quality cover for Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah but does not appear keen on Cummings despite acknowledging his talent.

The Scotland youth international could be on his way out of the Parkhead club at the end of the season, and they could expect to earn between £230,000 and £330,000 in training compensation if he leaves.

Cummings has proven himself playing against some top youth teams in Europe, and he has what it takes to become a top hitman at first-team level in a few years from now.

There is still plenty of time for the Hoops to get him to agree to a deal, and it will be intriguing to see what happens in the coming months.
