Aberdeen have reportedly rejected a €7m bid from Celtic for defender Scott McKenna.

The fee would have been a domestic record between two Scottish sides but it’s still not enough for the Dons, who value the 22-year-old at €14m.

The SPL champions face competition from south of the border though, with Aston Villa, Swansea and Hull all believed to be tracking the towering centre-back.

McKenna was ever-present for Aberdeen last season as they finished in fourth place.
