Aberdeen have reportedly rejected a €7m bid from Celtic for defender Scott McKenna.
The fee would have been a domestic record between two Scottish sides but it’s still not enough for the Dons, who value the 22-year-old at €14m.
That’s according to a story in the Scottish Sun which claims that Neil Lennon’s side have made McKenna their number one defensive target for the summer.
The SPL champions face competition from south of the border though, with Aston Villa, Swansea and Hull all believed to be tracking the towering centre-back.
McKenna was ever-present for Aberdeen last season as they finished in fourth place.
