Celtic are reportedly ‘closing in’ on their third signing of the summer window after agreeing deals for Christopher Jullien from Toulouse and Boli-Bolingoli Mbombo from Rapid Vienna.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Hoops are considering a £1.6m bid for Hapoel Be’er Sheva centre-back Hatem Abd Elhamed.
The 28-year-old debuted for the Israeli national team in their most recent Euro 2020 qualifier.
Elhamed is being targeted by Neil Lennon’s side due to his versatility. He has the ability to play either centre-back, right-back, or as a defensive midfielder.
Elhamed, who is under contract until 2022, has previously plied his trade at Belgian sides Gent and Charleroi, Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest, and Israeli side FC Ashdod.
