Celtic have made an unwanted bit of history after falling to a 2-0 defeat to Lazio in Rome this evening.

Ciro Immobile came off the bench to score twice in the last 10 minutes to knock Brendan Rodgers’ side out of Europe entirely, with the Celts sitting bottom of Group E with just one point from their five fixtures.

The defeat in the Italian capital means Celtic have become the first British side in Champions League history to go 15 consecutive games without a win.

A run that also includes Ange Postecoglou and Neil Lennon’s tenures at Parkhead.
