Celtic make left-back signing with Barcelona prospect

Celtic have added competition at left-back with the addition of Álex Valle from Barcelona.

The position has been viewed as a problem at Parkhead for several years with signings Boli Bolingoli, Diego Laxalt or Alexandro Bernabei unable to provide real competition for Greg Taylor.

The 20-year-old has arrived on a season-long deal which does not include a permanent purchase option.

However, it is reported that Valle has signed fresh Barcelona terms prior to leaving, with that contract including a €3m release clause.

Yet to make a competitive senior appearance for the Blaugrana, the Spanish underage international did impress during pre-season.
