Holm becomes Celtic’s first signing in Brendan Rodgers’ second stint at the club and joins on a five-year deal.

The midfielder has been one of the most exciting young players in Europe over the past few seasons, starring in the Norwegian top division for Vålerenga.

The 20-year-old is an all-action midfielder and legally changed his middle name to ‘Thiago’ in 2017 because of his admiration for Liverpool man Thiago Alcântara.

“We are delighted to bring Odin to the club and to secure his signing so early in the window,” Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers said. “He is a player who has been in the club’s scouting and recruitment system for some time.

“I have looked at him closely and believe he is someone who can make a big impact at the club.

“He is a great addition to the quality squad we already have and we really look forward to working with him.”
