Celtic are looking to sign a few players towards the end of the January transfer window to bolster their squad.
The Bhoys have already signed Jota from Rennes, just 18 months after leaving the Scottish champions for £25 million.
He has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal at Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers is now looking to add a new striker to the ranks in the next few days.
According to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, Celtic are in talks with Brondby over a possible deal for striker Mathias Kvistgaarden.
The Bhoys sold Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes this month and they are looking to sign another centre-forward to replace him. Adam Idah remains another option for the Hoops, but one more quality striker is needed.
Joseph claims that the Danish club are holding out for a record fee in excess of £10 million.
Kvistgaarden has been a long-term target for Celtic and the Bhoys are looking to strike a deal to bring the 22-year-old striker to Celtic Park before the end of the transfer window.
The Danish striker has progressed through the youth ranks at the club and has gradually established himself as a major player for the senior side.
In the 2022-23 season, he scored nine goals in 35 games. He followed it up with 10 goals in all competitions last season.
This season, he has been in great scoring form, netting 14 goals already. He has also provided five assists in all competitions.
Celtic should have funds to secure his signature, and it will be interesting to see if they come up with a formal bid in the next few days to sign him.
