At last, Celtic have concluded the much-anticipated signing of midfielder Ismaila Soro from Bnei Yehuda.
Or, it is 99% official at least!
The club announced on Wednesday evening ahead of their clash with Kilmarnock that Soro has completed a medical ahead of ‘his proposed transfer’ to the club.
Given what happened with David Turnbull during the summer, it is likely that nobody will be printing his name on the back of a jersey just yet.
But Celtic did confirm that they have agreed personal terms with Soro on a four-and-a-half year deal and subject to a work permit and international clearance, he will join the Scottish champions.
The 21-year-old is Celtic’s second signing of the January window after the arrival of Polish striker Patryk Klimala.
The Hoops beat out competition from Belgian side Genk to Soro’s signature.
