Celtic FC Women welcome Celya Barclais to Paradise | OneFootball

Celtic FC Women are also delighted to announce Celya Barclais as the latest addition to the Hoops squad ahead of the new campaign.

The versatile French defender joins the club on a two-year deal, after spending last season with Stade de Reims.

Having spent time in the academy of PSG as a teenager, Barclais went on to play senior football for a number of clubs in France.

After returning to Paris FC in 2019, the 22-year-old went on to play a handful of times for the first team before moving to GPSO 92 Issy.

Following two years plying her trade, and gaining plenty of experience there, she then turned out for her most recent club Stade de Reims, helping them to a sixth-placed finish last campaign.

The defender has also gained international experience, earning call-ups at a number of different youth age groups for the French national team, including at under-20 level.

Barclais has now completed her first move outside of her homeland, joining up with Fran Alonso’s squad for the season ahead.
