Celtic announce the signing of goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist

Celtic have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old arrives in Glasgow on a four-year deal after his contract at Dundee United expired.

The Swiss ‘keeper follows Cameron Carter-Vickers in becoming Ange Postecogolu’s second signing of the summer transfer window.

Speaking to Celtic TV, Siegrist said: “It feels amazing, it’s a very proud feeling to be here, and I’m really, really excited.

“I can’t wait to get going and meet the staff, the players, and, ultimately play for this football club.”

Siegrist made 29 appearances for Dundee United last season, conceding 34 goals and keeping eight clean sheets.
