Motherwell CEO Alan Burrows stated last week that they wouldn’t accept anything less than a club-record fee for free-scoring midfielder David Turnbull.
Motherwell’s record fee came when Celtic paid £1.75m for Phil O’Donnell 25 years ago.
The 19-year-old contributed 16 goals and seven assists in 34 matches last season to attract interest from top clubs, including Celtic, Brighton, and Barnsley.
On Friday, BBC revealed that within the last 24 hours, Motherwell have turned down a pair of bids from Celtic and Barnsley, with one bid said to be £2m.
The club is believed to want £3m for the Scotland U-21 international, who has two years remaining on his current contract.
