Celta Vigo star to miss remainder of season with injury | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Celta Vigo is set to miss the remainder of the season through injury.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Jailson as the player in question.

Defensive midfielder Jailson for his part missed out on Saturday, as his Celta Vigo teammates put Sevilla to the sword by three goals to two.

This came owing to a bone bruise suffered in his left knee last week.

And as much could well mean that the Brazilian has taken to the pitch in the colours of the Celestes for the very last time.

Jailson is due to see his contract terms at Balaídos come to a close in the summer, with no sign of an agreement over an extension having been forthcoming.

The 29-year-old, all told, has taken to the pitch in La Liga on 13 occasions for Celta in 2024/25.
