Celta Vigo ‘finalising’ Emilio Rodríguez signing | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Celta Vigo are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s first-team ranks.

That’s according to Marca, citing Mexican sources, who point towards Emilio Rodríguez as the player in question.

Rodríguez, for his part, is a gifted winger, who generally operates on the right flank, but is also capable of taking to the pitch at full-back when required.

The youngster exploded onto the scene in his home country of Mexico last season, with his performances having long begun to pique the attentions of clubs across Europe.

One such outfit come in the form of the aforementioned Celta Vigo, who recently moved to kickstart negotiations with their counterparts at Pachuca, over the terms of a summer transfer.

And, if the latest word to have surfaced on Monday is anything to go by, then such talks appear primed to bear imminent fruit.

As per Marca:

‘Celta Vigo are currently finalising the signing of Emilio Rodríguez.’

The deal at hand is expected to be worth a sum in the region of €2 million, enough to secure for the Celestes 50% of the player’s ownership rights.

Rodríguez, meanwhile, is set to put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Balaídos.
