Italian television presenter and celebrity Inter fan Amedeo Sebastiani, better known simply as just Amadeus, has shared his thoughts on the team’s performance in their loss to Lazio last night.

Inter took the lead through Ashley Young just before half time at the Stadio Olimpico but failed to build on that goal in the second half and would conceded twice, firstly through Ciro Immobile and then Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, to lose the match 2-1 and as a result, slide down to third in the Serie A table.

“Conte understood that the team must be united and everyone must have confidence in one another. Yesterday we could have equalised, even if the small details decided the game. There is a bitter taste left in my mouth and I think the team that wins the Scudetto will be the one who makes the least mistakes,” he is quoted as saying by FCInterNews.it.

He then went on to speak about Inter goalkeeper Daniele Padelli, who has received a lot of criticism off the back of his performances in Inter’s past two games with him having let in four goals in that time.

“It is unfair to blame him. When a goalkeeper never plays because he is always the reserve, the team is also affected by this and become more worried.”

Next he spoke on Christian Eriksen: “I very much like him, but if Conte still doesn’t play him, it means he doesn’t see think he can be on the field together with Brozovic at the same time. We have to understand if the two can coexist.”

He then admitted that he would have signed up for Inter to be in the position they are at the moment before the season started: “The night before the season began, if they had told us that in February we would have been fighting for the Scudetto, we fans would have signed up for that.”

In conclusion he spoke on the upcoming Derby D’Italia between Inter and Juventus: “It’ll be a decisive game, it would be important to take away at least one point from the game.”
